The ThirdQuarter Advantage

ThirdQuarter provides an online meeting place (www.thirdquarter.ca) that makes it easier for individuals to find jobs that match their skills, while helping firms quickly and successfully meet their hiring and skills needs.

ThirdQuarter is unlike job banks in that it doesn't use traditional resumes or approaches to find matches. The program focuses on the underlying essential skills that individuals aged 50 and over have gained and that businesses need.

Many ThirdQuarter Canadians want a change from the work they've done all their lives. A typical resume or job bank focuses on prior employment and doesn't tell the employer the full story of an individual's skills or hidden talents acquired from jobs and volunteer and life experiences.

Being in a leadership role, having experience working in a team environment, showing communication and interpersonal strengths and applying analytical thinking are all skills that can be transferred to new jobs and responsibilities.

ThirdQuarter uses a series of assessment tools to help bring those qualities to the surface and make them part of a skill set firms can identify in their recruiting and hiring process.
